Southmont Schools Partner With SafeVisitor Solutions

Southmont Schools have partnered with SafeVisitor Solutions to provide visitor management services beginning May 7, 2018. SafeVisitor is a cloud-based visitor management software and is currently being utilized in 165+ school districts and corporations in the states of Indiana, Washington, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Wisconsin and Texas. For our schools, the software will be used to manage school visitors.  “The safety of our students, staff and community has been, is and always will be the highest priority for our schools, “ says Dr. Shawn Greiner, Superintendent of the district.

Temporary visitors that enter Southmont Schools will be required to scan a government issued ID (Driver’s License or State-issued ID) upon their arrival. SafeVisitor software will run the visitor’s information against a National Sex Offender Registry and any Exclusion List the school possesses.  A specially designed, temporary ID badge will then be provided to the visitor for use while on our property.

This system will not only provide an easier way to manage visitors, but, more importantly, will assist in providing a safer and more secure environment for all students and staff at each of our schools.
